As of today, I solemnised my very first wedding ceremony 289 days ago.
As of today, I have solemnised over 30 marriages . . . and I can honestly say that no two have ever been the same.
Every time I walk away at the completion of another beautiful ceremony, I always think to myself that that particular ceremony was the best one that I have had the privilege of being involved in thus far. I have said that over 30 times. And no doubt I will say it again this weekend, after another amazing wedding.

As you may (or may not) have read in my bio being a Civil Celebrant is not actually my primary job. I already have one of those, and it pays reasonably well, so I don't do this job for money and to support my family. I do it simply because I love it.
My primary job is a unique one. It allows me an opening to view the evil depths of humanity. It shows me sadness, tragedy and human kind at its worst. Being a Celebrant is the absolute opposite of that. It is filled with nothing but love, happiness and wonderment at what the future is going to bring as it unfolds. It provides me with the good to balance out the evil.
